Cedar Rapids Makerspace – Looking for a New Home

The Cedar Rapids Makerspace was sponsored and building rooms were provided by the Iowa Innovation Learning Center, formerly the Science Center.  With the IILC permanently closing in December 2015, we are looking for a new home as a new organization in the Cedar Rapids area.

Please join the Facebook Cedar Rapids Makerspace page to keep up to date on future activities.  You can leave a message here as well if you would like to help find a new location or help with ideas.

We’ll also be updating the CRMakerspace.org website in the near future too.

Premier Makerspaces cater to a wide range of individuals and groups eager to work among fellow enthusiasts.  Access to tools, equipment, work space, and storage encourages makers to collaborate within an inviting, inclusive community. Continuing education is offered through affordable classes, workshops, and social networking. Other activities such as regular events including Maker Faires and workshops will ignite and inspire new ideas.
